I don’t think I’ll ruin anything for you, but if you’re like my wife . . . you won’t want to take the chance! Second, I’m a huge Star Wars fan. My favorite characters have always been the Stormtroopers and my favorite Star Wars tech has always been the Tie Fighters. I love the original trilogy, I can tolerate 1 through 3 as necessary evils, and I’ve had mixed feelings about 7 and 8. There were elements and themes I thought were masterful, but there was also a lot of poor story-telling — at least, in my humble opinion. Still, I’m a die-hard fan. My family and I will watch a saga-wide marathon (including Solo and Rogue One) any time a new movie is released, and we were some of the first to see Episode IX the day before it came out. Yet, while I found the climax of the Skywalker saga to be satisfactory, I believe many of the themes in the movie overshadow the overall spectacle. If you plan to enjoy this film with your family, please allow me to share 10 insights over the next two articles that may prove to be valuable conversation starters with your kids. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. This is as true for families as it is for individuals.
Mike Brown recently posted, "How Do Americans Spend Their Monthly Income?" a study of the spending habits of Americans aged 18 and up. As you would expect, Millennials have higher student loan payments, but -- surprisingly -- Baby Boomers have nearly twice as much credit card debt! As far as general debt is concerned, it's interesting to note that -- overall -- Generation X spends more in monthly miscellaneous debt, living expenses, and housing payments. Check out the report to see how your family compares to your generation's spending? But then take the additional step to ask the following questions: If belief is the most important part of what makes your children who they are, then how does a parent influence that? Join AMBrewster as he helps Christian parents understand the single most valuable Truths they need to teach their children. Christmas-Themed Parenting Episodes Check out 5 Ways to Support TLP.
