It should come as no surprise that parent-child conflict is so common in today’s world that it’s become cliché. If a parent and teenager get along, if a two-year-old doesn’t have temper tantrums, if a middle-school child accepts reproof without arguing, and if parents aren’t in a state of perpetual anger or anxiety, the family is considered an enigma. But why should strife seem normal while peace appears strange? Perhaps it’s due to the fact that family peace is so hard to attain.
Thankfully, God didn’t create us to live in continuous strife. His perfect Word provides all the guidance and direction our families need for a strifeless home.
