Alhambra

Type: Alhambra is a tile and card based city-building game which utilizes abstract strategy. It teaches money selection, tile purchasing, city creation, and the ability to gauge ones own progress compared to other players.
The Brewsters have dear friends who might as well be family. The Schlipphaks have introduced the Brewsters to amazing games that were created in Europe long before they were ever introduced to the states. Some of our favorite games are in German because they didn't have an English version at the time!
Alhambra is one such game that has earned tons of international best game awards. It became one of Johanna's favorites from the first time she played it. The Brewsters haven't yet played all the expansions, but they love the gameplay of base set! It has a lot in common with Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan.
